Veolia Water has successfully completed hundreds of projects, around the world, for the treatment of crude processing wastewater - ranging from simple oil/water separation to biological treatment and polishing prior to final discharge.
The processing of crude oil from the desalter to the hydrotreater and most steps in between generate wastewater.
Wastewater must be treated prior to injection, discharge, or in water-scarce areas, prior to reuse.
In either case, the treated wastewater must meet specifically prescribed criteria - either regulatory-driven or process-mandated.
